CURRENCY:
The currency of China is called the Yuan. Chinese banknotes are issued in the following denominations: 1, 5, 10,20, 50, and 100 Yuan.
Smaller values are issued as coins, with 1 Yuan = 10 Jiao = 100 Fen.

CURRENCY IMPORT/EXPORT RESTRICTIONS:
Up to 20,000 Yuan may be imported and exported. Foreign currency may be imported for free, with amounts over 5000 United States Dollars equivalent requiring a declaration. Foreign currency may be exported up to the amount imported and declared.

The current series of notes were issued from 1995-2006
ALTERNATIVE CURRENCIES:
Hong Kong Dolars and all major currencies are accepted.
