The Danish currency is called the Krone (pl. Kroner). Kroner banknotes are issued in the following denominations: 50, 100, 200, 500, and 1000 Kroner.
Smaller values are issued as coins, with 1 Krone = 100 Ore.

CURRENCY IMPORT/EXPORT RESTRICTIONS:
The import and export of all currencies is free.
Declaration to Customs is required for amounts exceed EUR 10,000 or equivalent.
CIRCULATION:
Many notes issued after 1946 are still redeemable with the Danmarks Nationalbank.
Guardian International Currency Corp. purchases the most recently discontinued banknotes at a reasonable discount.
ALTERNATIVE CURRENCIES:
All major currencies are accepted.
IN THE FUTURE: Although a member of the European Union, the Danish Kroner is not currently participating in the EURO.
