Guardian's network of foreign accounts makes it easy for you to receive and convert funds. No service charges on incoming wires means you save time and money.

For incoming wire transfers, there is a transaction minimum of $10,000 Canadian equivalent. To receive less than this amount, please use our Western Union money transfer service.

How do I transfer funds to Guardian's account?

1. Contact a trader for our wire instructions.
2. Instruct your Bank to send the wire transfer using the instructions we provide with your name and address in the memo section.
3. When your bank has sent the funds, call Guardian and inform us of your name and address included in the memo section as well as the amount and currency of the wire.
4. When the wire is received, a trader will contact you.
5. You may book an exchange rate at that time or any time during the next seven business days.

IMPORTANT: You must tell your bank to include your name and address in the memo section of the wire transfer. Failing to include this information will delay your payment.

How long will it take for Guardian to receive my wire transfer?

Wire transfers usually take between one and two days to reach their destination but, dependent upon the sending and intermediary banks, can take as long as ten business days.

Wire Transfers of $100,000 or more

If you are an individual sending a wire transfer of $100,000 or more Canadian dollar equivalent, you will need to complete and submit a Politically Exposed Foreign Person Declaration before you receive payment.
