CURRENCY:
The currency of Tunisia is called the Dinar (pl. Dinars).
Dinar banknotes are issued in the following denominations:
5, 10, 20, and 30 Dinars.
Smaller values are issued as coins with 1 Dinar = 1000 Millim.

CURRENCY IMPORT/EXPORT RESTRICTIONS:
Import and export of local currency is forbidden. Foreign currency
can be imported for free, amounts over 500 Dinar equivalent must be declared.
Export of foreign currency is limited to the amount imported.
CIRCULATION:
There are two current series of notes. The older series were issued
from 1983 to 1986. The newer series was issued from 1992 to 1997.
ALTERNATIVE CURRENCIES:
Euro, British Pounds and American Dollars.
