CURRENCY:
The Japanese currency is called the Yen. Yen banknotes are issued in the following denominations: 1000, 5000, and 10000 Yen.

Smaller values are issued as coins. Yen coins are issued in the following denominations: 500, 100, 50, 10, 5, and 1 Yen.

CURRENCY IMPORT/EXPORT RESTRICTIONS:
The import and export of all currencies is free. A declaration is required for amounts equal to or exceeding 1 million Yen.

CIRCULATION:
Many outmoded notes are still redeemable. Guardian International Currency Corp. purchases recently outmoded notes at a reasonable discount.

ALTERNATIVE CURRENCIES:
All major currencies are accepted.
