CROATIA
CURRENCY:
The currency of Croatia is called
the Kuna. Kuna banknotes are issued
in the following denominations: 5, 10 20, 50, 100, 200,
500, and 1000 Kuna.
Smaller values are issued as coins, with
1 Kuna = 100 Lipa.

CURRENCY IMPORT/EXPORT RESTRICTIONS:
Visitors may import/export foreign currency for free; amounts exceeding
40,000 Kuna require a declaration. Local currency is restricted to 15,000 Kuna import/export.
CIRCULATION:
The Croatian Kuna was issued in 1994 as a replacement for the Yugoslav Dinar.
ALTERNATIVE CURRENCIES:
German Marks are widely used. United States Dollars and Italian Lira
are also accepted.
