CURRENCY:
The currency of Poland is called
the Zloty (pl. Zlotych). Zloty banknotes are issued in the
following denominations: 10, 20, 50, 100,
and 200 Zlotych.

CURRENCY IMPORT/EXPORT RESTRICTIONS:
Local and foreign currency may be imported for free.
In: value of or over EUR 10,000 must be declared.
Out: if amount exceeds value of EUR 10,000 proof of previous import or the permit of the National Bank of Poland are required.
CIRCULATION:
The Zloty was revalued with the issue of the current series of notes,
issued in 1995. The new Zloty is valued at 10,000 old Zloty (1950-1995).
The older notes have been removed from circulation and remain redeemable until 2010.
ALTERNATIVE CURRENCIES:
All major currencies are accepted.
